With relaxation, presence, mindfulness, and awareness we have key factors that allow for meditation to happen. Though our mind is naturally jumpy, these different stepping stones can enable us to let it move while staying within our chosen area.
After having experienced and possibly trained these meditative exercises a bit, see how it is to pause for a second or two and:
- Just be.
- What do you notice?
- How is it? Is it interesting or boring?
- Did you maybe naturally take a deep breath?
- Just be again.
- See if you can take these tiny moments of just being, like little contacts with the “now” in its wholeness again and again throughout the day.
